How do you encapsulate over 30 years of experience, self-discovery, training, education, teaching, and gnosis in a succinct, easy-to-use, powerful message? This is the type of question I ask myself…or I did.
It’s amazing to me that no matter how many times I remind myself and others that all great works have their own time, place, and energy the process always surprises me.
For the last six years, I knew my life’s journey guided me to a very specific place. I knew that place involved speaking, training, guiding, mentoring, writing and serving. I knew it would somehow incorporate my education, experience, self-development, and integration. But how to you take a B.A. in intercultural communication, a M.A. in education/critical theory, an Army enlistment, a spy-chasing career, wifedom, motherhood, and entrepreneurship, wrap it all up and package it in a way that serves the world?
And then I met a beautiful child of God who reminded me that the answer only arrives when we get quiet and clear enough to listen. Lauren E. Miller (LaurenEMiller.com) will always hold a special place in my heart for the wisdom to guide me in a powerful way. I met her at a time when I felt like my body could no longer contain the deep desire I felt to explode into the world. I met her at a time when I was desperate for someone, anyone to give me my message.
I just wanted someone to tell me what to do. And she ever-so-gently reminded me that by abdicating my personal power in the situation I was not serving my highest good. What a fantastic way to receive my own message! I was so desperate for the answer. I forgot everything I teach others…stand in your power and listen to your own knowing.
I ran with that gift and my world shifted dramatically.
I’d like to say it’s easy, anyone can do it, just get quiet and…magic! And all of that’s true. But, that’s only part of the story.
Wow…the journey, the process, the gift of being in flux, is where lies the true beauty of life. And the synchronicity of time, place and energy in birthing your message for the world rivals the precision of procreation. I am grateful for the experience, the message, the opportunity to serve and the reminder to…stand in my POWER.
