I am one of those people who enjoys exploring the holistic path and a variety of ways we can awaken, heal, and expand ourselves. While I have a strong passion for shamanic journeying with plant medicine, I also enjoy drumming, chanting, meditation, breath work, crystals and stones, Reiki, star chart readings, hypnosis, etc. Every path is a Divine gift filled with wisdom and insight! There’s no right or wrong, better or worse way; each of us is on our own special journey with free will and personal taste to choose if, when, and how we awaken. It’s what we do with it that matters most!
This path is amazing and powerful, and it is easy to get so caught up in it that we forget that all important pause, giving ourselves patience, compassion, and time to integrate the lessons of each healing experience into our lives. When I first began journeying, I did so every few weeks and saw profound change. Then a series of circumstances slowed these experiences, and what a blessing that was! I began to realize how much I could grow and learn in the quiet times between just by going into stillness with meditation, journaling, chanting, and working with crystals and flower essences privately. In short, I began to deeply grow into my true personal power.
We live in an era of distraction. Technology abounds and we are used to staying busy and in at least one conversation via text, voice, email, and social media at any given moment. The hardest challenge today is to stop, be still, and do nothing, especially for a social person like me. However, it is only by getting still every day that we truly integrate our healing and awakening, connect with our spirit guides and angels, and discover our unique, authentic path.
Since returning from Peru and subsequently receiving a beautiful astrological reading, I understand more than ever how important this is. I have been doing better at this over the past couple of years, and now I am even more deeply committed to finding my own answers and living my own truth. I will return to ceremonies during times when I feel particularly stuck, but my focus is on integration into daily life, using what I learn there to be more whole and awakened here. I recently heard daily life referred to during the closing of a steamy sweat lodge as, “the hottest sweat lodge of all.” Amen brother and aho! Yet this is the true journey we signed up for and I’m fully in and grateful to share it with you.
Namaste and so much love,
