EP136 Gayle Yess Fisher Parenting, Autism & Learning Differences on Exploring Possibilities

Gayle Yess Fisher, M.Ed.Tech, Mom, Educator and Author (https://www.GettingSorted.com) discusses her journey into parenting with host Sheryl Sitts (https://www.JourneyOfPossibilities.com).  A successful corporate woman, Gayle decided to become a mother later in life, only to receive the diagnoses that changed her life.  Learning your children have special needs takes parenting to a new level, and the unique challenges of autism, gender identity, and more can be quite isolating, humbling, and confusing.  Gayle shares how she united with other parents and groups, wrote two books, In The Spectrum: A Moms Guide to Surviving Your First Year in the Autistic Spectrum, and No Place to Hide, and began facilitating workshops to help other parents and families.  Gayle also shares some holistic practices that have helped her and her children, including nutrition, myofascial release, and more.
